A fun and safe space for free and accessible education and social interaction

In an attempt to promote learning among children and advocate education, we in association with Give India and Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs set up libraries in seven different locations across Delhi-NCR namely, Bhalswa, Nizamuddin, Vivekananda Camp, Takia Kale Khan, Mangal Bazar, Rajiv Nagar, and Sihani to promote learning among children. The areas were chosen because children in these locations lack access to quality education and thus, have poor academic performance.

The libraries provided a healthy environment for learning.

The libraries, with free access to English and Hindi books, which is otherwise a luxury to the children living there. We also created a section of educational and entertaining games which were designed to provide a healthy environment for learning. It positively impacted the cognitive development of the children, mainly from lower income groups, along with their language and creativity skills. The library became a safe and lively space for healthy socialization where the kids met and learned from other kids. They found a pathway to explore their interests as well.
