A user’s handbook to a mindful living and sustainable household

A handbook is usually made on a general understanding. The task of applying it, in reality, is left to the readers. The space of home is a hotbed of waste generation: the groceries and clothes that we buy, kitchen chores, needs for our little ones, and even house parties.

Waste reduction is a practice that can begin from our homes.

This handbook, identifying the sources, suggests a switch over to more sustainable and practical ways of consumption like one-time bulk buying to reduce plastic packaging, and changing to reusable and recyclable products like long-lasting glass jars or cotton wipes from their use-and-throw plastic counterparts. Segregating wet and dry waste, monitoring, and composting are also important besides reducing e-waste. Changing habits will create awareness that we can protect the environment by reducing waste and wastage.
