Operational Team

The multi-skilled team at Chintan comprises over 20 enthusiastic and committed men and women. Their skills range from team building, community training and waste management to education, policy research and advocacy. For our organization chart, click here.

Anil Kumar – Anil is responsible for documentation and data handling at Chintan.

Ashok Kumar – Field Officer, Scavengers to Managers. Ashok is responsible for doorstep waste handling services and collection in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area.

Bornali Majumdar – Assistant Manager, Low Carbon Futures programme. Bornali works to improve the waste handling practices of a large private company with several offices in Delhi.

Carbon - Unlike other staff members, Carbon is a dog, and part of the Chintan support team. Prior to joining Chintan, he was a puppy on the streets.

Gangaram Uniyal – Office Assistant at Chintan, Gangaram is responsible for ensuring the premises are comfortable for the rest of the team and for our visitors.

Gaurav Sharma – Field Officer, No Child in Trash programme. Gaurav is responsible for overseeing the work of the teachers and social workers in two of Chintan's learning centres.

Imran Khan - Assistant Manager, Voice for Waste programme. Imran works to ensure that waste recyclers are able to run their own organization, Safai Sena, within the next few years.

Kajichew Pfuze – Manager, Low Carbon Futures. Kajichew is responsible for enabling large waste producers to reduce their carbon footprint through improved waste handling and recycling.

Mohd. Faizan – Executive Assistant to Director. Faizan is responsible for the planning and scheduling appointments, travel and itinerary of Director, help in information and financial management, correspondence, communication and documentation.

Panchali Shyam Dev – Head of Programmes, Chintan. She oversees all operations across programmes. She is part of Chintan's strategic planning team and reaches out to create new partnerships.

Rajneesh Tyagi – Assistant Manager, No Child in Trash. Rajneesh oversees the work of the field officers in No Child in Trash and is responsible for the implementation of all projects under the programme.

Shakir Saifi – Field Officer, Voice for Waste. Shakir is responsible for   capacity building of waste recyclers in Safai Sena.

Subhash Maity – Subhash is an accountant with Chintan. His key work is to assist the team in financial management.

Supriya Bhardwaj - Manager, E- Waste (Scavengers to Managers). She is responsible for all our E-Waste related liaison, collection, operations and implementations.

Suman (Snehlata Singh) – Field Officer, No Child in Trash. Previously a teacher in the programme, she was promoted due to her outstanding work.

Suresh Kaushal – Assistant Manager, Scavengers to Managers programme. Suresh is responsible for doorstep waste handling services in the Faridabad Municipal Corporation area.

Vivek Vishal – Field Officer, Voice for Waste. Vivek is responsible for capacity building among waste recyclers, particularly towards enabling them to run Safai Sena independently.
